History This is another ancient Tibetan breed, developed by monks. They were introduced to the west via a gift from the then Dalai Lama. They were considered a living "lucky charm" and were always given away, but never sold. |

Positives Individuals from this breed are very social dogs, and like lots of company. They do not like being left at home alone, so are suitable for retired people or those at home most of the time. |

Negatives The grooming requirements of this breed can be demanding and are not suitable for all household types. |
