History The breed originated in Japan in B.C. times. It was developed as a hunting and companion dog, and are now a popular family dog in Japan. As you can see, there are very many similarities between this breed and many native dogs to be found around the world. One of course is our very own Australian Dingo, which is descended from the same native stock and is believed to have travelled down to Australia over earlier land bridges from Asia. |

Positives This breed thrives in a family environment, and enjoy playing with children of all ages. They enjoy regular exercise. |
